Dec. 21 - Where We Are

A lot of folks in the community have been asking about insurance on the playground as well as rebuilding efforts. We wanted to give an update as to where we are in the process:

• The site has been fenced off and arson investigators have examined the area.
• Multiple news outlets have reported on the situation. Dream Playground Foundation Board President Steve Methner was interviewed by King 5 and the Peninsula Daily News. 
• We have been in touch with the 2020 build project lead from Play By Design, as well as the playground designer, who went through a similar thing in her own town. 
• We have connected with City of Port Angeles officials and are waiting to find out from the city's insurer what the insurance coverage will look like.

We've created a contact form on the front page of this website for those who would like to be updated once rebuilding plans are under way. We will need to come together as a community to make this Dream come true again. We appreciate the outpouring of support we've received more than you can know.
